Make a beautiful decoration with this Mill Hill "Beehive House" counted cross stitch kit. Busy little bees are homeward bound to their charming flower-festooned beehive, with the design worked in counted cross stitch on perforated paper, with added beadwork embellishment.
If you have not worked on perforated paper before, this may be of interest - perforated paper dates back to the Victorian era, and has been used by needleworkers to create embroidered pieces to be used as cards and ornaments. This paper is extremely firm and resists tearing but can be cut with scissors or a craft knife. Wrinkles can be removed using a warm iron.
This kit contains glass beads, charm, 14 count perforated paper, stranded embroidery floss, needles, chartered design and full instructions.
