To create felt using the technique of needle felting requires specialty barbed needles, a tool to hold the needles in place, a mat to support the felting process, as well as some type of unspun fibre (such as wool roving), or wool felt. Needle felting claws are a handy addition to your felting toolbox, giving you the freedom to blend roving colours, safely holding your roving in place during felting, as well as allowing you to keep your felting mat clean!

Specialty felting molds allow you to create three dimensional shapes with relative ease, and are helpful in developing your skill in needle felting.
